The thing is that USA has probably the best physically prepared players of all teams. There is not much to write about the names like James, Wade, Anthony and others, because we all know how they CAN play. In some group games we could see Americans not taking so much care about defense and not taking care about that game at all (for example with Italians or Puerto Rico). But now it shouldn?€™t be that way, it is not a group game and you have to look at every game very seriously. Australia isn?€™t impressive at all, Bogut is the only warrior and all other guys are either too young or just not as good as USA squad. We see USA looking at this game very seriously and start playing from the beginning of the match. If they will do that they won?€™t have problems at all with Australians, which haven?€™t shown something impressive in group games (except first win vs Brasil). We are also waiting for the odds for the first half handicap. It should be around -12 for USA, so maybe we will pick this one too.

Everything is written in previous preview and all we could add is USA?€™s points in group stage: 111, 121, 114, 94, 103. This is a point making machine that maybe can be stoped only by teams like Spain, Argentina or France, but Australia is not the team. They won?€™t make many fouls because there aren?€™t enough players to substitute the starting 5 (especially A.Bogut), so the game should go as it always goes in USA matches. Fast, nice with many steals and many points.

V. Spanoulis could be one of his teams leaders in this match. Player can take the responsibility to his hands at any time and coach can trust him. Angola isn?€™t the team that has many shooters, so we expect here a win from France about 10pts at least, but we are taking under for Angola because every team is strugling to score points against France.

1st pick. Turkey under 76pts @ 1,85 Topsport



This should be an equal match, but I see Slovenia going through. They have a good team this year, but they haven?€™t reached their top form yet, so they can play superb and can play miserable. It is not a group game anymore so they should look at this game seriously and start playing how they can. Turkey has a great defense this year too, but I don?€™t like taking under for the whole match as I see Slovenia winning this one. Both teams want to go through and will do anything, so the match should be slow with many fouls, turnovers and missed shots.



2nd pick. Spain - Serbia under 160 @ 1,85 Omnibet



I was shocked a little bit with a total here. We all remember when the teams met in a friendly match this year. The result was 80-65. I can?€™t see more points here too, because it is not a friendly match and the game should be a tough one too (also interesting). We are thinking about Spain win here, but 8 points is too much. Both teams shows really good defense and both teams should play a slow game too, so all the way for under here!



3rd pick. Argentina (-21) - @ 1,85 Omnibet



New Zeland. The team that can be happy to participate in next round. As someone has said in one of the forums "the team looks like a high school team playing with professionals?€¯. On our opinion this team is one of the weakest teams in this round. Maybe two players - Jones and Penney are in a little bit higher level than all team, but there is no one else to score points for them and to defend Argentina? I think it is mission impossible for them. Argentina should take this one seriously as it not a group stage anymore (even though they managed to win in group by 35 - Lebanon, 42 - Venesuela, 34 - Nigeria). The difference between these two teams is huge, so 30+ points victory for Argentina here.

So one more day passed in World Championship and group games are over now. The last day was the best of all days and we hope it will continue that way till the final match. We got Venesuela under, Slovenia - China under, Gasol under and lost only on Nigeria under. So 3 won and 1 lost pick for this day. All in all we have a record of 11 picks won and 10 lost (you can see them in Pick?€™s History), so a little bit over 50% picks won and that is not the result we were expecting at the start, but still the minus is not so big. If we count wining picks, the average odd was 1,83. Every bet was equal - 100 units. So we spent 2100 units (21 pick) and won (1,83*100 units*11 picks) 2013. So we have -87 units and that is a -4,14%. Tomorrow is a day off and the WC continues on Saturday, so we will post our picks on www.rakasbets.com on Friday evening.

Today we saw another surprise - Lebanon victory over France. That wasn?€™t what we all expected at all. I think the main reason was that France didn?€™t take so much responsibility to defense and thought that they will take this one without any problems. When they saw that everything is not the way they planed they took care about their defense and let their opponents score only 31pts in second half. The key to the victory in France?€™s game is defense and tomorrow they have only one choice - to win that game. I would say France will win about 20pts, but it is a bit risky to take the handicap, so we?€™ve decided to take under for Venesuela.





2nd pick. Nigeria under 79,5 @ 1,8 Orakulas



Nigeria. The team that is very similar to France- they also start the game from defense. The team hasn?€™t got many good shooters (although they still manage to shoot some 3 pointers from very hard positions), but they play quite slow game. We would have taken under for the match (under 151,5), but Lebanon is very unpredictable team and we are a little bit afraid of what they did in this WC. They?€™ve won against Venesuela - that was a surprise, but if they manage to win again a team like France so we give them all the respect and hope for a real fight tomorrow against Nigeria. So we should see another low scoring game here and take Nigeria to score under 79,5pts.

Well yesterday Bogut scored well over 11 points, but Slovenia managed to score 95 points. There is one thing that you can?€™t bet on under matches in USA games, that is why we are not taking USA unders any more. Almost all other picks that we said "we also like?€¯ won, but we didn?€™t take Erdogan over (that we were deciding weather to put it as a main pick or not). So far we have 6 won and 8 lost matches that don?€™t bring "plus?€¯ for us, but still we think we will manage to have a plus at the end of WC!

1st pick. Lithuania -5,5 - Australia. @ 1,85 Orakulas


Lithuania has nothing else to do, but to take a win here, in this match. Players know that very well and they know that Australia is the team that has some problems with players (not all of them can participate in this WC), so they have to give their best. Lithuanians were close to win tha match vs Greece and were very asleep with Turkey. Now they are in a position to win or die and we think it is time for them to win this big match (I don?€™t count today?€™s match against Qatar).



2nd pick. Spain - Angola under 161,5 @ 1,85 Orakulas



Spain started playing defensive basketball this year and very rearly let their opponents score more than 80-70 pts per game. Angola has always started their game with defense because they don?€™t have many good shooters from the 3 point line. So here we have two defensive teams, that can play slow basketball which is good for our under in this game.



3rd pick. Greece -4,5 - Brasil @ 1,85 Orakulas



Greece is just better now and if they want to take the first place in the group they have to win this one. Brasil is playing more offensive basketball, but Greece?€™s defense is so good that they won?€™t have an opportunity to shoot their beloved 3 pointers. The game that Greece is playing is slow with many fouls, so I don?€™t think it will be acceptable for Brasil. All in all I think Greece should win this match by a double margin.
